The Fender American Vintage II series offers a remarkably faithful reproduction of the groundbreaking models that have shaped music history. Crafted with period-correct bodies, necks, and hardware, premium finishes, and meticulously tuned, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the very essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and sound.

The Telecaster Thinline debuted in July 1968. Its semi-hollow design aimed to produce lightweight instruments from solid ash. Redesigned in late 1971 around two Wide-Range humbucker pickups mounted on a redesigned curved mother-of-pearl pickguard, the improved, second-generation Telecaster Thinline was first produced in 1972. Notably, it was Fender's first six-string equipped with humbucker pickups and the first Telecaster with six adjustable saddles. The 1972 American Vintage II Telecaster Thinline faithfully reproduces the iconic sound and feel of the original model.

Featuring a flamed maple neck with a "C" profile, the Telecaster Thinline American Vintage II 1972 offers exceptional playing comfort thanks to its 7.25" radius fingerboard and vintage-style high frets. To recreate the authentic tones of the Wide-Range humbucker pickups, we reused the CuNiFe magnets, an essential element for faithfully reproducing the sound of the original models. Characteristic of the 1972 models, this Thinline is equipped with a "Bullet" truss rod nut, a three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt mechanism, "F" stamped tuners, a fixed six-saddle bridge with bent steel saddles, and is available in Aged Natural, 3-Colour Sunburst, and Lake Placid Blue finishes on a semi-hollow ash body.

The instruments in the American Vintage II series are the direct descendants of the original Fenders: designed for musicians who appreciate the vintage Fender sound and feel, and crafted with unparalleled quality, down to the smallest detail. These are pure Fender electric guitars: the Fender American Vintage II, true legends.
