Exceptional Guitars

The JS3CR is a limited edition JS series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is a signature model of American guitarist Joe Satriani which is produced in Japan by FujiGen. The JS3CR was revealed on April 13, 2023, at the NAMM show. It commemorates the 35th anniversary of Satriani's first Ibanez signature guitar.

The JS3CR features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot position markers. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, a pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups with a Satchur8 at the bridge and a PAF Pro in the neck position, and Gotoh machine heads. Controls consist of a master volume with push/pull hi-pass filter, a master tone with push/pull coil-split for the bridge pickup, and individual toggles for each pickup.
