The Tone City Sweet Cream is a very transparent overdrive with smooth-sounding and full dynamics, with an amp-like response.

In the 2025 version, a TONE knob and toggle switch have been added. The Tone knob helps you to adjust the brightness, and the toggle switch gets you from two different clipping modes. Switching to the right to get to the original version tone, turning to the left to get a slightly higher distortion with more sense of compression. The Sweet Cream therefore gives you a wider range of tones than its no-frills layout suggests, making it a solid option for even the most fastidious of tone-chasers.

The Tone City Sweet Cream Overdrive is based on the gorgeous tones of the Mad Professor Honey Overdrive Pedal. These small pedals are built like a brick and have tone for days. If you're after an amp like overdrive you could leave on or stack with another pedal, this is a great choice.

This pedal feature three simple controls which includes Volume, Tone, and Gain. The gain control supplies the pedal with more or less overdrive depending on the type of sound you want.

All Tone City pedals are True Bypass and require a 9v DC Center Negative Power Supply for operation as there's no battery slot. If you like your drives crunchy with an edge of break-up tonality, this pedal is really worth checking out!
