Produced primarily in Japan by Hoshino Gakki from 1983 to 1987, the Ibanez Roadstar II series is a highly regarded line of vintage electric guitars and basses. Designed as "Superstrats", they blended traditional Fender Stratocaster aesthetics with high-performance 1980s upgrades. The line ultimately laid the groundwork for Ibanez's iconic modern RG and S series.
This iteration is a classic, straightforward model featuring a basswood body, one-piece maple neck, three Super 5 single-coil pickups, and a phase mini-toggle switch for unexpected tonal variety.
