We didn't want to simply reissue the original, limited-edition Focus Fuzz without expanding on it and, in the Deluxe version, we’ve added two new circuits that capitalise on the unique Focus control – an overdrive mode for lighter gain sounds and a textured, almost-clean boost that you may want to leave on all the time.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe’s ‘Overtone’ effect is octave fuzz done the Focus Fuzz way. By blending an analogue octave-up with some of the full-range signal, we’ve managed to create a more user-friendly and well-behaved rendition of those classic octave sounds.

Like its predecessor, the Focus Fuzz Deluxe uses a combination of silicon transistor, germanium transistor and diode clipping to generate its range of overdrive, distortion and fuzz textures. The pedal is built by hand in Cambridge, UK. It uses high-quality through-hole parts including an NOS (new old stock) Soviet-era germanium transistor.
