Designed and built for beginning guitarists, the Academy 10 series combines the rich tone and responsiveness of a classic dreadnought with the exceptional comfort and playability for which Taylor is renowned. Its thinner neck profile and slightly shorter 24-7/8" scale length make finger placement, chord sustain, and bends easier. Additionally, the Academy 10 features an armrest, a signature Taylor feature, for optimal comfort, especially for guitarists new to larger acoustic guitars. With its solid spruce top and laminated sapele back and sides, the Academy 10 dreadnought produces a warm tone, rich in bass and clear, crystalline treble, softened by the sapele's punchy midrange. Thanks to its rich tone and ergonomic shape that encourages creativity, the Academy 10 is the ideal choice for beginners or guitarists on a budget.
