The Holton T-500, officially known as the "Al Hirt Special," is a vintage Bb trumpet manufactured by the Frank Holton Company from 1965 until the late 1970s. Designed in collaboration with the legendary jazz and pop trumpeter Al Hirt, it is an intermediate-level horn famous for producing a fat, round, and powerful sound.
