Amati is a Czech instrument manufacturer that has its roots in the rich tradition of European and Czech brass craftmanship dating all the way back to the 1600s. Their instruments are even today made by skilled in-house technicians and are found in many instrument arsenals across the world.

The AHR321 is a student level single French horn in the key of F, with extra slides included to put the instrument into the key of Eb. It is of a yellow brass construction with a .460" bore culminating in a 12" two piece bell. This instrument is designed for entry-level use. The specs, weight, and feel are all suited towards a standard and approachable playing experience. Despite this, the superior Amati design has offered this horn, along with the rest of their catalogue, the reputation of punching above its weight, with surprising resonance and agility.

It features a thumb ring for the left hand and, greatly helping with the ergonomics and handling of the horn, especially for beginners who may otherwise struggle to find a comfortable grip and balance. The rotor triggers are also higher set than other student models, furthering the comfortable design.
