Putting a fresh spin on Gibson's iconic Goldtop finish — and their venerable ES-335 semi-hollowbody electric guitar — the limited-edition Gibson Memphis ES-335 Metallic Top takes its visual cues from mid-century automotive finishes with its eye-popping metallic top finish. Take the stage with this flashy guitar, and all eyes will be on you. Visuals aside, it's every inch Gibson's classic semi-hollowbody guitar, spec'd out with a quartersawn mahogany neck, dark rosewood fingerboard, weight-relieved maple center block, Adirondack spruce bracing, an ABR-1 bridge with titanium saddles, Grover Milk Bottle Rotomatic tuners, and Gibson's MTC Premiere control assembly with PAF-style MHS pickups. The Gibson Memphis ES-335 Metallic Top: its everything you ever wanted in a '335 — and more!
Pickups built just for Gibson hollowbodies
Gibson Memphis designed their MHS humbucking pickups to bring the best out of their hollowbody and semi-hollowbody models. Expect the clarity and nuance of the best vintage PAF-style pickups, which balance wonderfully with the round tones the guitar's body naturally elicits. For full tonal control, you have separate volume and tone controls for each pickup, along with a 3-way toggle pickup-selector switch. Under the hood, the ES-275 Custom's MTC Premiere control assembly is hand-wired with matched 550K potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, ensuring you'll hear the mellifluous voice of your semi in all its glory, even when you back down your volume.
Handcrafted by Gibson's elite luthiers
When you want a premium hollowbody or semi-hollowbody guitar, there's nothing like a Gibson. Handbuilt at the Gibson factory in Memphis, Tennessee, these guitars feature premium craftsmanship and carefully selected tonewoods for amazing playability and tone. That's why countless jazz, rock, and blues players have used Gibson hollowbodies for decades. Take it from Sweetwater — the Gibson Memphis ES-335 Metallic Top will give you years of great performance.
Limited-edition metallic finish
One of the most storied looks in Gibson's history is their Goldtop finish. This finish has shown up time and time again over the years and has become a favorite among collectors and players alike. This Gibson Memphis ES-335 Metallic Top takes the sparkle-flake look over the top with a limited run of 335s that have finishes derived from mid-century American automotive paint samples. These unique guitars are only available for a limited time, so if you're on the hunt for a killer '335 that is sure to be a collector's item, this is it.
