Up for grabs is this legendary vintage Tama drum kit, phenomenally well-kept for almost 50 years of age! The kit sounds massive and monstrous with amazing attack, boasting 100% Japanese birch shells (6-ply, 9mm) and a beautiful Mahogany wood-grain stain (hence the Super Mahogany name).

It comes all original (apart from the batter heads) equipped with the Tama hardware and hard cases it was originally purchased with in the 80's! This was bought from the Drum Shoppe in Thornhill and had one owner.

You don't find vintage drums packaged like this today, let alone in near MINT condition! The original owner kept them in cases with no tension on the heads, for most of it's lifetime. There's only a couple of very minor/small marks on some of the toms and bass drum hoop from a cowbell clamp. The shells/edges themselves are in fantastic shape.

The snare included is highly sought after and still has it's original wires, missing only one wire. The hoops are both die-cast and the heads have been replaced. Also, another RARE option included here was the mirrored bass drum head on the reso side, that looks stunningly cool.

The hardware all works just like it did originally with low-mass single-lugs and heavy-duty steel triple-flanged hoops. This was a high end kit 50 years ago and the hardware purchased with it was top of the line, including a RARE pneumatic four-legged throne, Tama Titan hihat stand, Tama King-Beat kick pedal, 2 Tama heavy-duty double-braced straight stands.

Sizes are: 22x16, 12x11, 13x12, 16x16 & matching 14x6.5" snare drum.
