Tomsline Engineering ABS-1 Blues Overdrive Driver Distortion Guitar Pedal
The Tomsline Engineering ABS-1 Blues is a guitar overdrive pedal designed to emulate the smooth, vintage tube amp drive, featuring a true bypass switch and controls for gain, tone, and level.
It is constructed with a metal housing, has a compact size of 115mm(L) x 73mm(W) x 48mm(T), and weighs 270g including the battery.
The pedal operates on a 9V DC power supply, either from a battery or an AC adapter, and draws 5.5 mA of current.
It includes a high-gain FET transistor and an ultra-low noise operational amplifier, with an input impedance of 500 kohm and an output impedance of 150 ohm.
The pedal has been described as a blues overdrive with a range of tones suitable for light overdrive, capable of providing a pleasing sound with both solid-state and tube amps, and can be used to achieve sweet breakup tones.
Some users have noted its ability to tame bright single-coil pickups or brighten split-coil pickups, and it has been compared to the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver in terms of its three-knob layout
