Plastic instruments are significantly lighter than their brass relatives and are less susceptible to damage from drops or bumps, meaning they are great for those less abled to manage a heavier and more fragile metal instrument. Plastic instruments also require much less maintenance than the real deal. Valve oil, slide grease, and a slew of other products are not needed to maintain this instrument.

The often cited draw back to plastic instruments is of course the quality of sound they produce. Coolwind has negated a significant level of this complaint by offering metal valves. With retal resonating in the instrument, some of that brassy sound comes through the instrument. Metal valves also leads the instrument to feel more like a metal trumpet.

The CTR-200 comes in a easy to manage gig bag and comes with a megatone-style mouthpiece to further help the user get a stronger sound.
