The Aubert company is famous for crafting the finest bridges available for bowed instruments. For many years now they have also maintained a small workshop of expert craftspeople producing very fine violins and other orchestral string instruments.

This violin, labeled the Georges Michel model, is handmade in this workshop located in Mirecourt, France, known as one of the violin making capitals of the world. It is made of exceptional european tonewoods and is modeled after the work of luthier-great Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, who himself gained recognition for crafting his legendary collection of violins, as well as being a renowned copyist of the work previous greats like Stradivari.

This violin produces a rich, warm tone and is well suited for solo and ensemble playing. The Pirazzi strings aid this instrument furthers this violins warm feel with brilliant edge and aids the violin in adapting to a wide variety of genres.
