Monarch 4 Standard

This new version of the Monarch 4 Standard offers a new look and a new sound palette, while remaining true to the aesthetics, playability and reliability that musicians expect from us.

This new version features a walnut body and ash top, paired with a three-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard. This wood combination delivers an exceptionally powerful sound, with warm, deep bass, rich and precise mids, and defined yet not overpowering highs, for a perfectly balanced tonal palette.

Like previous versions, it still features our PLEK'd compound radius fingerboard with 24 frets and a fully adjustable custom-designed brass bridge, delivering both the exceptional playability that Fodera is famous for and powerful sustain and resonance.

The new Monarch 4 Standard features dual-coil pickups designed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan. They deliver a punchy, precise tone with smooth, natural mids and highs, and a warmer, more organic sound than a soapbar pickup. Wired in parallel, they produce a clear, rich tone typical of single-coil pickups, while also offering the flexibility of a full single-coil mode for classic jazz bass tones.

The Fodera/Pope Standard 3-band preamp (v.3) is the latest version of our Standard series preamp. Designed for optimal performance, it offers incredibly low noise, musical EQ, and active/passive operation for maximum fidelity and flexibility, whether on stage or in the studio.

This combination of microphone and preamp allows you to customize your sound, from a deep and round tone to a bright and punchy one, and all the nuances in between.
