Description
Accessories Included: Hard Case.
Famous for its Western Orange finish, "G-brand," faux F-holes, and innovative features like Filter'Tron pickups and string mutes, becoming synonymous with Atkins' "Nashville Sound" in country, rockabilly, and pop music. Originally introduced in 1954 as the "Streamliner," the 6120 evolved into the slimmer, double-cutaway "Nashville" model in the early 1960s, defined by its unique electronics and sound-reducing features.
A true vintage icon from Gretsch's golden era, this has shown its honest age, and has the appropriate ware that comes with anything that is going to be 50+ years old.
It sounds every bit as good as it looks (cant say the same for a lot 50 year olds out there).
The neck plays beautifully, frets are in solid shape, and the guitar delivers that unmistakable Gretsch chime, twang, and warmth that made the Nashville a favourite of players across genres. Whether you are after that classic country, rockabilly, early rock, or studio-ready cleans, this guitar delivers.
Condition notes:
- Original finish with light checking, and cosmetic ware consistent with age
- structurally solid with no breaks or repairs
- electronics are fully functional
- hardware shows natural patina
- neck is straight and comfortable with smooth playing action
This is not a case-queen, its a well cared for vintage instrument that has been played and loved.
Comes with a hard case as well!
