The McCarty 594 is a versatile, vintage-inspired instrument with exceptional playability. Featuring a 22-fret Vintage Pattern neck with binding and a slightly thicker back for a richer tone and increased sustain, the McCarty 594 offers perfect intonation across the entire neck and provides an immediate playing feel, as if you've been playing a guitar your whole life. Whether you're looking for rich, authentic humbucker tones or nuanced, mellow single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 handles both with ease thanks to its 58/15 LT pickups, now optimized with TCI (Tempered Capacitance and Inductance) technology, and its two volume and push/pull tone controls. A two-piece zinc bridge and vintage-style tuners ensure the stability of this guitar, staying true to the McCarty spirit.

For 2024, PRS Guitars is updating the tuning machines on many Core models. While the aesthetics of the new Wing knobs are inspired by the wingspan of a bird at the 12th fret, their design, dating back to 1982, was primarily aimed at optimizing tone. Lighter than their metal predecessors, these knobs absorb less energy from the vibrating strings, thus prolonging resonance and improving musicality. The absence of a locking mechanism on guitars without a vibrato also contributes to the lighter weight of these tuners.
