In the world of boutique brass custom shops, few names resonate with the same weight as Taylor. Working out of the UK, the small shop is relatively new to the game compared to the well known Japanese and American giants, though their large impact in a short time speaks for itself. With a focus on furthering trumpet innovation Taylor brought to life unique approaches to classic trumpet designs while likewise crafting instruments with unique silhouettes and stunning finishes. Ensuring that the instruments look as fantastic as they play.

The Chicago line is one of Taylors most popular, the Standard model of which is what they consider to be the benchmark of how a heavy horn should play. Taylor has constructed this trumpet with a thicker gauge of metal all over, rather than adding weighted valve caps and fittings around the valve block as in common in 'heavy' trumpet designs from other manufacturers. Distributing the weight evenly within the chassis of the instrument brings a strong and even resonance that offers a deep and powerful sound.

With a .460" large bore growing to a 6" yellow brass bell, this trumpet is built to deliver a tone with the full weight of the instrument behind it, without wearing out the player. It has layered sound with a wide dynamic and timbral range and offers great projection and feel.

***This Instrument is housed in its original case with all original accesories in pristine condition. This instrument was sold to L&M very soon after being brand new from Taylor, it has only been played a handful of times.
