Description
The Bach 190S37 is an ushering back of the vintage Bach trumpets that shaped the Bach name and remain to this day some of the most sought after trumpets by professionals and players of all varieties.
The main innovation with the 190 series is the return to a two-piece valve casing design not seen since they switched to a one-piece construction in the late 1970s. The two-piece casing is built of bottom two thirds brass and top one third nickel-silver. The two piece construction brings a quicker response and a mature character to the instrument. The nickel silver adding a certain edge, or sizzle, to the tone of the instrument, widening its timbral range and dynamic ability.
The newly returned two piece valve casing is incorporated along with a Mt. Vernon weight #37 bell with a round steel bell bead and is paired with the classic #25 lead pipe to further this trumpets offering of the 'classic Bach sound', a warm and layered sound synonymous with the mid 20th century. These classic specs are given new life with newly designed wide wrap nickel Z braces and fresh first valve slide brace offering greater intonation and projection with greater consistency throughout the range of the instrument.
This "Anniversary" edition of the 190S37 was how the newly renewed 190 series was introduced back about a decade ago. It features a beautiful ornate bell engraving that stands in contrast to the more minimalist engraving normally found on Stradivarius trumpets.
*** This instrument is listed as demo for clearance reasons. It is otherwise a new instrument that is housed in its original case with all new accesories.
