Schilke has been one of the predominant trumpet manufacturers since Renold Schilke first opened up shop in the mid 1950s. Over the past 7 decades, Schilke has crafted a unique identity innovating many features common-place on trumpets today and having their designs be the building blocks for other well known instrument manufacturers.

The Custom series trumpets date all the way back to the founding of Schilke and have existed as their flagship line for 70 years. Renold Schilke designed the Custom series to feature a lightweight design with minimal bracing, reverse leadpipe, and rounded tuning slide offering a very free-blowing feel. Renowned for their consistent feel across the range of the instrument, they are a consistent favourite for orchestral and jazz/commercial players.

The B-3 is the large bore model of in the Custom Series. It offers a quick response with an simmering brilliance with a full bodied sound throughout range of the instrument. The B-3 is known for slotting extremely well in the higher registers of the horn. Those seeking a powerful instrument that does not need to be wrestled with will find a great partnership with this trumpet.
