Hi! I'm Rosey the Lessons Coordinator, nice to meet you! As part of my duties here at the North Store, I'm in charge of signing students up for lessons, managing everyone's schedules, and putting on the Winter and Spring Recitals offered for free for Lesson Centre students. Cam Steele is a teacher, performer, and composer in Edmonton. He performs regularly in Edmonton in various contemporary styles from rock, blues, jazz, RnB, funk, and popular music. Cam also plays as a solo guitarist inspired by great fingerstyle players and classical repertoire. Cam values teaching music as a language and creates a space where students start making music within their first lesson. Cam also offers instruction in music technology, electronic production, songwriting, and orchestration. Lessons with Cam are constructed around learning how to really play the music students want to play!
Cam holds a Music Diploma and a Bachelor of Music Composition from MacEwan University, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Alberta.
Cam's rate is $30 per half hour lesson.

Erik is a pop, rock and jazz guitarist from Edmonton, Alberta. He has a music diploma with Performance Major from MacEwan University (2015) and has studied with accomplished guitarists Jim Head, Mo Lefever and Jamie Philp. Erik currently plays guitar and bass studio projects, live performances, and has done shows in a variety of venues across western Canada. He is also a song writer and composer. Erik offers guitar, bass, and Ukulele lessons at our Edmonton North location.
Erik's rate is $30 per half hour.

Jerry Ozipko - Online Lessons Available (Violin, Cello, Brass, Woodwinds)

Jerry taught band in a high school setting for over 15 years, and holds a Bachelor of Music as well as a Master of Education degree. Jerry has had a love of teaching for many years and wants to continue passing on his knowledge at Long & McQuade. Primarily Jerry plays violin, clarinet and saxophone but can also teach any band instrument up to a level 2 proficiency. Jerry offers lessons at our Edmonton North location.
Jerry's rate is $29 per half hour.

Rachelle Moore (Piano, Violin, Cello)

Rachelle Moore is a cellist and music educator from Quebec with over 14 years of teaching experience. Beginning piano at the age of four, her love of music led to the expansion of her studies to include both violin and cello. Throughout her youth, she participated in competitions such as the Kiwanis Music Festival and Festival Musique Jeunesse Québec, where she received first-place awards.

Rachelle studied cello at the Conservatoire de Musique de Gatineau and holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Ottawa, including a Bachelor of Music in Performance, graduating magna cum laude. She has taught piano, violin, and cello and enjoys working with students of all ages and levels.

Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that “music is community.” To Rachelle, music is not a competition, but an art form to be cultivated and shared. She believes music should be accessible to everyone and that there are no limits to what students can achieve with encouragement, consistency, and passion. Rachelle is dedicated to helping students set meaningful musical goals and guiding them toward achieving them in a supportive and inspiring environment. She especially enjoys coaching chamber music and collaborative ensembles while fostering confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
