At the Fredericton Long & McQuade Lesson Centre, music lessons are available for all ages, levels and styles. Conveniently located uptown at 981 Prospect Street, we have morning, afternoon, evening and weekend lesson times available to fit your busy schedule. As the largest lesson centre in the Fredericton region, we feature 9 clean and well equipped lesson studios, a friendly environment and affordable lesson rates. Offering guitar lessons, piano lessons, drum lessons, voice lessons and more, our qualified and professional music instructors will guide you to your musical goals while making learning fun! Emma Johnson (Piano, Cello, Violin)

Emma Johnson is a classically trained pianist and cellist with over 20 years of experience. Emma graduated with an Honours in Music from St. Thomas University, where she studied composition, pedagogy, ensemble arrangement, and theory from Martin Kutnowski. Emma's approach to music education is marked by her commitment to fostering a love for classical music and helping her students unlock their musical potential. Emma has taught at Girls Rock Camp, Sistema, & UNB Music Camp and performed for local festivals such as Harvest Jazz, Flourish Fest, and Folly Fest. She currently plays cello with her string quartet Sarabande Strings & Fredericton Symphony Orchestra. Emma’s rate for a half hour private lesson is $27.

Nathaniel Sergeant (Piano, Theory)

Nathaniel Sergeant has played piano for over 20 years, completing his Grade 10 Royal Conservatory exam in 2010. For the past 6 years, he has taught piano privately and offered choral/instrumental accompaniment and event music including weddings and regular recitals at retirement communities in his hometown of Fredericton. Nathaniel firmly believes that music is a journey unique to every individual and in his lessons he encourages his students to express themselves through music by learning in a way that is creative and has special meaning to them. Nathaniel's rate for a half hour private lesson is $29.

Payment for each month's lessons is due in the first week of the month. Lesson rates vary with the location, instrument and the teachers' education and experience. Though some are lower or higher, on average they are between $25 and $31 per half hour private lesson. Automatic withdrawals on the 5th of each month make payments easy.
