Welcome to Dartmouth's largest music lesson centre located at 124 Main street, Dartmouth. We offer 15 spacious studios in house and our very own recital room. Our studios are equipped with state of the art keyboards and acoustic upright pianos as well as a Yamaha Concert Grand. We offer lessons in violin, viola, cello, all woodwind and brass, all styles piano, guitar (electric and acoustic), banjo, ukulele, bodhran, percussion and drumset. We also offer many classes such as; recording and electronic music production, string ensembles, musical theatre and even step dancing! Call us at 902-496-6966 and we can get you set up!

Amy Ewer - Piano music lessons in Dartmouth

Amy Ewer (Piano)

Amy Ewer has a Bachelors of Music from Dalhousie University with a major in piano. She has played Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Prokofiev, among others in recitals at Dalhousie and other venues. Amy has been teaching music since 2009 and has years of experience working with children. Her rate for a half hour private lesson is $23.

Danielle Smith - Voice, Piano music lessons in Dartmouth

Danielle Smith (Voice, Piano)

Danielle studied piano at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton (Jazz Program) and has completed Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano and Grade 6 in Voice.  Danielle has a wide variety of styles which include classical, musical theatre, rock and pop.  Danielle is a singer-songwriter that has been nominated for Music Nova Scotia and MusicNL awards. She has 8 years experience working with young children and her rate for half-hour private lesson is $23.00. 

Dorian Baker - Clarinet and Piano music lessons in Dartmouth

Dorian Baker (Clarinet and Piano)

Dorian completed his Undergraduate Degree in Music from Mount Allison University, while simultaneously studying Clarinet Performance at The Boston Conservatory. During his undergrad, Dorian held principal positions in the Mount Allison University Chamber Orchestra, the Boston Conservatory Orchestra and the Boston Conservatory Wind Ensemble. After completing his undergrad, Dorian moved to Toronto where he completed a Masters Degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Toronto. Dorian maintained a position as principal clarinet with the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and was also an active chamber musician, performing all of the Brahms, Mozart, and Beethoven masterworks for clarinet. Dorian has taken masterclasses in North America and throughout Europe with world-renowned artists such as Anthony McGill of the New York Philharmonic, and Walter Seyfarth of the Berlin Philharmonic. Dorian has also worked as a recording artist and has recorded for Eight Note Publications and for the Screen Composers Guild of Canada.

Dunnery Bond - Piano and Voice music lessons in Dartmouth

Dunnery Bond (Piano and Voice)

Dunnery Bond is a singer-songwriter who graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in 2015. He has appeared in six mainstage Neptune Theatre productions, won the nationally aired singing competition "The Next Star" in 2008, and has studied both classical and jazz piano for over sixteen years - including completing his Grade 9 RCM. He has performed with David Foster, Suzie McNeil, Bruce Guthro, Paula Cole, and many other artists. His rate for a half hour private lesson is $23.

Greg Myra - Piano music lessons in Dartmouth

Greg Myra (Piano)

Halifax pianist Gregory Myra received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 2009 from Dalhousie University. Upon graduation he accompanied the students of Professor Lucy Hayes-Davis at Dalhousie for two years. In 2011 he began studies at the University of Manitoba under Dr. Laura Loewen and graduated in 2013 with a Masters of Music in Collaborative Piano. He is currently the pianist for the voice studio of Professor Marcia Swanston at Dalhousie University. He has performed for five seasons with the Halifax Summer Opera Festival and has also performed with Opera Nova Scotia and the Dalhousie Chamber Series. Along with this he loves teaching piano to students of all ages, from beginner to advanced.

John Lindsay-Botten - Voice, Piano, Brass music lessons in Dartmouth

John Lindsay-Botten (Voice, Piano, Brass)

John has a Bachelors in Music in Voice from Mount Allison University and grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music piano. John originally entered university on trombone but switched to voice after two years. He has sung both solo and chorally with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the Elora Festival Singers, Nathaniel Dett Chorale, Mississauga Choral Society, and the Toronto Jewish Folk Choir among others, and he took on the lead role of Pierre Elliott Trudeau in Vocalypse Productions’ presentation of G. E. Clarke and D.D. Jackson’s opera Trudeau: Long March/Shining Path. John has produced a CD of his own pop/adult compositions called ‘A Labour of Love’. He has been teaching music since 1994 and his rate for a half-hour private lesson is $24.00.

Karen studied, piano, organ and voice at Acadia University. For the last ten years she has been directing the choir and playing piano and organ for the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. She’s been teaching piano for 25 years and has been coordinating our keyboard Kids program for five years. She teaches classical technique but her students learn all styles. Karens’s rate for a half-hour private lesson is $24.

Katie has studied a variety of genres in both piano and voice, as well as music theory, composition, and performance. After working her way through the Royal Conservatory of Music, she attended Mount Allison University as a Piano Major in the Bachelor of Music Program. She later transferred to Nova Scotia Community College and completed the Music Arts Program as a Vocal Major, specializing in jazz, blues, folk and pop music. She has had the opportunity to perform on various stages, including The Marquee Ballroom, The Fredericton Play House, Saint John City Boardwalk, and CBC Radio. Her lessons are a happy blend of fundamental theory and feel-good music, which promise to be creative, entertaining and educational at all times! Her rate for a half-hour private lesson is $23.

Krysi Bruce - Voice, Brass, Beginner Piano music lessons in Dartmouth

Krysi Bruce (Voice, Brass, Beginner Piano)

Krysi completed her B.A.(Hons) and B.Ed from Memorial University before attending NSCC's Music Arts program. She has previously sang and played rhythm piano for a local blues group, sang in a barbershop quartet, performed in The Sound of Music (and many other local theatre productions), played trumpet with The Halifax Los Primos Project, and loves any opportunity to make music -- especially with her many students. She strives to make learning fun and uses differentiated teaching methods to appeal to the many styles of learning found in students of all ages. Her cheery disposition makes her an ideal teacher for those wishing to have fun and learn in an unconventional lesson setting. She teaches voice and piano performance, along with trumpet, French horn, music theory, and song-writing & arranging for beginners. She's also a firm believer that it's never too late to try something new! Her rate for a 30-minute lesson is $22.

Logan Bennett - Trumpet and Piano music lessons in Dartmouth

Logan Bennett (Trumpet and Piano)

Logan studied orchestral trumpet at the University of British Columbia, completing his master’s degree in 2014. He then went on to teach private music lessons at international schools for over two years. His travels tookhim to far off locations such as the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. He has performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, and Westben Festival Orchestra. He has extensive solo performance experience as well as with brass ensemblessuch as the Vancouver Brass Project and Qatar Philharmonic Brass Ensemble. Logan has studied classical piano as well as trumpet, and enjoys performing his own piano improvisations when he can.

Yulia graduated with Honours from the Zaporozshky State Music College in the Ukraine and worked as a piano teacher and children’s choir director while taking courses at the Harkov Institute for Music and Arts there. In 2000 she taught piano for the New Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and in 2002 and 2003 was named teacher of the year. Yuliya specializes in preparing students for all levels of RCM exams, Kiwanis festivals, and other competitions. She has been teaching for Long & McQuade since 2004. Yuliya also teaches Music Theory.
