Ameera is a pianist with a passion for learning and teaching. After attending college for classical performance and receiving a diploma in Applied Music, she has since obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Music, concentrating in Music Education. Ameera is currently working towards a masters degree in Music Education. As a hobby, she enjoys arranging/orchestrating, composing, participating in choirs as an alto, and performing as a percussionist in a wind ensemble. Ameera is a strong advocate for learning an instrument, and strives to help her students find fulfillment and joy through music. Ameera's rate for a half-hour private lesson is $28.00.

Breanna holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Redeemer University, with a double major in Music Performance and Honours Psychology. She studied piano under renowned concert pianist Valerie Tryon and holds Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Level 10 certifications in Piano, Voice, and Theory. Breanna has performed with a range of vocal ensembles and orchestras, including Redeemer University’s Contemporary/Jazz Ensemble and the National Academy Orchestra of Canada. She also served as a pianist and rehearsal accompanist for orchestral and theatre productions at McMaster University. Her accomplishments have been recognized through numerous awards and scholarships. As a dedicated music instructor, Breanna is passionate about helping students of all ages grow in both skill and confidence, and most importantly, in their love and appreciation for music. Breanna's rate for a half-hour private lesson is $28.00.

Ian Brown (known in the music world as Ian Aisling) is a composer, pianist, educator, and piano technician based in Hamilton. Since graduating from Mohawk College’s Jazz & Contemporary Music program, Ian has built a versatile career in music — writing original scores for film, games, and media; performing as both a solo pianist, and keyboardist for local alternative funk band Junestone; and tuning & servicing pianos across the region (more info at ianaisling.com). As a music educator, Ian encourages students to explore their creativity while grounding them in essential skills. His teaching style is engaging and encouraging, rooted in positive reinforcement that builds confidence and helps students discover the joy of realizing their own potential. His rate is $28.00 per half hour private lesson.

Janelle holds a Bachelor of Education from The University of Western Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Music from McMaster University, where she studied classical flute. She has worked in diverse schools across Hamilton and London as a music and arts teacher. As a woodwind player, she has performed in various ensembles and musical theatre settings around Ontario. Janelle is welcoming to all types of learners, offering flute lessons at all levels and introductory piano. Janelle’s rate for a half-hour private lesson is $28.00.

Karen has her Gr 8 RCM as well as extensive training through the Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Program. Karen began teaching piano when her own children were young and soon discovered it was a passion. She truly enjoys building rapport and creating an open and non-judgemental learning environment for her students. She has been teaching privately and in-classroom for over 20 years. Karen's rate is $28.00 per half hour lesson.

Leah has been a performing singer songwriter in the GTA for many years. She holds an Honours Bachelor's degree in music from Humber College and has her grade 6 RCM in piano. Throughout her studies she has developed an appreciation for all forms of music and is well equipped to teach a variety of styles. Her rate is $28.00 per half-hour lesson.

Olivia Brown is a bassist, pianist and vocalist from Hamilton. In addition to completing her Grade 9 RCM in Piano, Olivia studied classical piano at the University of Toronto and graduated from Mohawk College's Applied Music program in Bass Performance. Her performance experience includes opening for Robben Ford, playing with the Hamilton All-Star Jazz band, and performing at the International Beatleweek Festival in Liverpool. Olivia is an encouraging and open-minded teacher who works with students of all ages, emphasizing ear-training and self-expression. Her rate is $27.00 per half-hour private lesson.

Shavini Pinto is a Jazz vocalist and a songwriter based in Hamilton, ON. She’s an Honours graduate of the Applied Music program at Mohawk College, and has her Grade 8 RCM for voice. Shavini started her musical life at the age of 8 as a singer in her home country of Sri Lanka. Shavini has always linked her life to music through her participation in numerous choirs and bands, which she also has experience in conducting and directing. Additionally, Shavini has been a part of the Artword Artbar Theatre production 'MacBush, the Musical' (written by David Dawson) in 2016 and was a nominee for the Emerging Artist category at the Hamilton Arts Awards in 2016. Shavini's rate for a half-hour private lesson is $27.00.

The program is thoughtfully designed to provide age-appropriate, fun-filled learning experiences, all the while fostering creativity, self-expression, and a love for music. Families also have the chance to build relationships and socialize in the welcoming environment.
