Alisa is an accomplished musician who is passionate about inspiring music in others. She is a singer, plays multiple instruments, and graduated from Selkirk College’s Music and Technology program in Nelson, BC with a major in guitar performance. She has played all over the country, as a solo jazz performer, and as a vocalist at black tie events fronting a 17 member big band. She has been a blues bassist, a big band pianist, and a funk singer. She has written and recorded for movies, performed as a studio musician and worked as a recording engineer. Alisa is most excited about sharing her knowledge and fostering a lifelong love of music through teaching, and is a very capable and flexible teacher within many styles of music and teaching methods. Alisa's rate for a half hour private lesson is $25.

Having been raised listening to orchestras from around Europe, Antoinette developed an
interest in music at a young age. Music was always her favorite subject in school and she enjoyed playing with her school's concert and jazz bands throughout her secondary education. During her time at the University of Prince Edward Island, she was part of the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Choir, the UPEI Wind Symphony, and joined the Charlottetown Jazz ensemble in 2020. Antoinette recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from UPEI, where she studied under Dr. Karem Simon and Dr. Nicole Strum. Antoinette's rate for a half hour private lesson is $21.

James Phillips - Guitar, Bass guitar and Mandolin music lessons in Charlottetown

James is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who began playing guitar at age 12. At 15, he won the Guitar-Warz competition for all of PEI. At 18, he recorded and released his first album of all original material. He has played guitar and mandolin and sung in many successful groups such as The New Drifts and Saddle River String Band with whom he won an ECMA in 2008. He has shared stages with such East Coast luminaries as Ron Hynes, Lennie Gallant, Nathan Wiley, and Catherine MacLellan. He also produced and played on Catherine’s first three albums. James has been teaching successfully in the Summerside and Tyne Valley areas for over a decade and is excited to be building a new clientele here in the capital since relocating in the summer of 2013. James's rate for a half hour private lesson is $23.

John Boswell - Guitar and Bass music lessons in Charlottetown

John began his musical journey in his early teens performing across Atlantic Canada as a guitarist in various bands. He studied music at Humber College and York University. John's debut CD, Stranger in the Mirror, was produced by long-time friend Creighton Doane and mixed by Harry Hess. The first single "Forgive Me" peaked at #36 on the Canadian BDS AC charts after only 2 weeks on the air. Always in 'songwriter' mode, John has collaborated with Warner Music recording artist Natalie McMaster, along with producer Kevin McMichael of Cutting Crew and Robert Plant. He has shared the stage with the likes of Steve Earle and Tom Cochrane to mention a few. He was also asked to perform at an event for Justin Trudeau during his campaign. In 2019, John co-wrote a new single for an up and coming music artist, produced by Mike Turner, (Our Lady Peace) and has worked extensively with guitarist David Wipper, (Alanah Myles, Amanda Marshall) on various tracks and live performances. John's rate for a half hour private lesson is $23.
