Alisa is an accomplished musician who is passionate about inspiring music in others. She is a singer, plays multiple instruments, and graduated from Selkirk College’s Music and Technology program in Nelson, BC with a major in guitar performance. She has played all over the country, as a solo jazz performer, and as a vocalist at black tie events fronting a 17 member big band. She has been a blues bassist, a big band pianist, and a funk singer. She has written and recorded for movies, performed as a studio musician and worked as a recording engineer. Alisa is most excited about sharing her knowledge and fostering a lifelong love of music through teaching, and is a very capable and flexible teacher within many styles of music and teaching methods. Alisa's rate for a half hour private lesson is $25.

Dre Knowles - Piano, Violin music lessons in Charlottetown

Dre was born and raised in The Bahamas and moved to PEI in September of 2022. He has been playing piano since age 5 and violin since age 12. He is an experienced educator, having taught advanced piano and up to late intermediate violin and theory. He is also an experienced performer and accompanist, having played across the Bahamas for years. Dre is currently studying at the University of Prince Edward Island with a focus on Piano Performance (under Dr. Magdalena Von Eccher) and Education, while completing Piano Pedagogy courses with the RCM. Dre believes that all students of all backgrounds deserve to learn music in a way that makes them feel encouraged, while gaining a lifelong appreciation of music of all styles. Dre’s rate is $23 for a half hour private lesson.

Katherine holds a Bachelor of Music degree and Diploma in Elementary and Secondary Music Education from McGill University. She has been teaching piano to students from ages 5 to 85 in Victoria, BC for the past twenty two years. She approaches students with an inherent belief in their abilities, and loves helping them develop their skills and discover their own potential. Having returned home to PEI, Katherine is excited to meet new students and Long & McQuade and to continue encouraging and developing a love of music in students of all ages and levels. Katherine's rate for a half hour private lesson is $25.

Megan is currently studying Music Education at the University of Prince Edward Island with a focus in classical guitar, and has completed her Royal Conservatory exams for grade 9 theory, grade 8 guitar, and grade 7 piano. Megan has competed in a variety of competitions and performance opportunities including performing at NBL of Canada games in Ontario. She has been teaching with Long & McQuade since January of 2022, previously in Windsor, ON. Megan believes in creating versatile and well-rounded musicians; she strives to ensure that everyone can have a positive experience with music no matter their age or skill level.

Nancy grew up in Sherwood, PEI and started playing piano at the age of 7 and she continued her music through the local school band program. She is now the mother of 2 children who are both involved in music at their schools. Nancy loves to be involved in her community through coaching, volunteering and teaching. She is currently a substitute teacher for the English Language School Board. Nancy continues to play piano everyday and always makes sure she dedicates time in her busy schedule to practice. She is excited to meet each and every new student and believes there is talent in everyone. Nancy's rate for a half hour private lesson is $24.

Nathan Wright is an experienced saxophonist and pianist; as well as an experienced performer in a variety of styles including classical, jazz, funk and rock. He is currently studying saxophone at UPEI. Nathan has also released music with his band: Isle of Parsimonious Eloquents. He is a strong believer in an adaptive learning environment. While teaching, he is dedicated to working with students to help them discover a passion for music in their very own way. Reade Gauvin - Voice, Piano, Ukulele music lessons in Charlottetown

Reade Gauvin is a vocalist, pianist, and songwriter from Moncton, New Brunswick. She recently graduated from the Music Performance Program at Holland College, and plans to complete her Bachelors by majoring in Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music. Her songwriting style is eclectic, as is her taste in music. In 2021, she worked as a Student Tutor at Holland College, helping 1st year students with Music Theory, and Ear Training. She recently worked as a Music Coordinator at Northwood Care Home in Halifax, and has been working with Ollie Leblanc and Colin Fowlie on recording her soon-to-be debut single, “Friendly Reminder.” Reade's rate for a half hour private lesson is $23.
