Elsieanne Caplette is a PeruvianCanadian singer, composer and music producer. She started her career in Montreal in 2000 and released her 1st album Hybrid with producer Bob Ezrin
(Universal - Canada).
Caplette became an international singer based on her unique ethereal and
otherworldly voice, something out of other realms of mythology. A voice itself
that carries a story. In 2007 music critic Craig Norris, CBC radio described
Caplette’s voice as “If Bjork and Billie Holiday has a child, the offspring would
be Elsiane…Mind blowing”. Her different influences from classical,
orchestral and jazz give us hints of Kate Bush, Elizabeth Fraser and, well, Bjork.
Caplette's voice has captivated many audiences around the world by her fascinating way to manipulate her voice in the moment as if she is choosing an instrument with which to express emotions and experiences.
Caplette has been performing, composing and singing for the duo Elsiane, Cirque Du Soleil, Delerium and other soundtrack projects including “Rin, Tongue and Dorner” (a science fiction novel by writer “Rich Shapero”).
Caplette’s project Elsiane has toured the world and has been in many soundtracks including her best time single “Vaporous” which is showcased in the movie “The Unseen”, also some movie trailers like Denis Villeneuve’s Polytechnique and TV commercials.
She is currently finishing her 5th album with producer David Bottrill which is
scheduled for release next spring.
