When I was in the market for an acoustic amp (when I was still playing pro on a full-time basis) I tried everything available in my region. There were some close contenders. I chose this amp and used it to play a150' hotel lobby, house concerts, the local blues bar and several restaurants. With a guitar in one channel and a vocal mic in the other, this was like a mini PA. Although I didn't need it, it also has lots of features I never had to use, like separate and mixed XLR outs! Really versatile, great sound and LOTS of power. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was pretty happy at first as it had good sound and was quite versatile. I was always being asked by my mates though if the phone was ringing. Something in the amp reproduction sounded just like a ringing phone and was super annoying. Unrelated to that however, it stopped amplifying. That's when I found out that the published "limited lifetime warranty" Fishman has on their website meant nothing. Also, the warranty terms included repair only by Fishman in the US, so the Cdn user had to pay to get it there, as well as $$ for inspection, and also get it shipped back. You might as well say it has no warranty. I contacted Fishman customer service many times, and the reply was they are a much smaller company than people think, and apparently even if it was their issue, they couldn't afford to be covering these costs like shipping. Not very professional. It seems they won't pay or trust to have authorized service provider in Canada. If warranty and getting it serviced or repaired is important to you, buy another brand that has CDN authorized warranty service . Fishman seriously needs to correct this.

Have owned this for over two years and even use it with a mixer for hosting small Open Mics!! It has lots of "Jam". One piece of advice: Get a cover to protect the amp in transit.

This amp is extremely versatile and has plenty of "Jam". I even use it with a mixer to do a small open mic! I've been using it for two years now and have no complaints. Advice: get a cover to protect the Tolex in transit.

I echo what previous people have said about this little amp. It sounds fantastic and is loud if you need to be. It has everything you would need on an acoustic amp and more. I would definitely recommend it hands down. Its a winner !

Tried to run my Godin acoustic through a regular tube combo amp, it was ok but lacking. So I picked up the Fishman loudbox, lets just say that if your looking for a amp to use for acoustic look no further than a Fishman. It has everything you need to amplify an acoustic guitar.Pleny of power, effects,DI outs, mute switches etc...and did I mention how light it is 25 Ibs amazing ..I don't regret buying this amp for one second.

Impressive volume, features and effects in such a small package. This Loudbox is very loud. The natural choice with Fishman pick-ups. Acoustic guitars sound exactly like acoustic guitars with all the effects in 'neutral' position. Effect combinations are plentiful. Talk shop with those in the know who have used other acoustic amp brands and they all praise Fishman quality and sound. Only (minor) complaint is that the outer 'skin' covering could be more rugged -- like the Fender Acoustasonic for example. In time, expect dings and small peelings to the edges if your going to be banging this baby off of hard surfaces. Overall, a great amp and highly recommended. Finding one in stock might be tough.

When I went looking for an amp I had several "items" on my list to look for. First, the acoustic amp had to have my guitar sound like...well, like an acoustic guitar! This amp sounds incredible! Second, it needed to have some volume...this amp is killer and I have played outdoor gigs which it powered through amazingly well with little effort. Third, I wanted to be able to hook a microphone up to it as well...done. The bonuses that came with this amp were the ability to also hook in an auxiliary sound source, as well as, fantastic effects with the ability to adjust them easily. The only recommendation I have for Fishman is to include the dual footswitch with the amp. Through the various hookups I was able to have two microphones, one guitar and an mp3 player hooked up at the same time. Fantastic amp - absolutely NO regrets or gear envy...now everyone is wondering what I am using. :)

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
