Shea began her music education at age 3, and has a B.A. from the University of Toronto. As a flautist, she has performed in concert bands, orchestras, musicals, and as a soloist. After years of private lessons with a focus on RCM, she teaches classical piano, as well as pop rock keyboard with technical rudiments and theory. Students are encouraged to play their favourite songs using any combination of sheet music, lesson books, audio, chords and lyrics, lead sheets, letter notes, numbers and patterns, by rote, and online tutorials. A contemporary vocalist with a choral background, she trains students to enhance their natural singing voices, develop songwriting and performance skills, and accompany themselves on piano, beginner guitar and ukulele.
