Chris was born in Montreal Quebec and moved to BC when he was five, It wasn't long after that his love of music began to surface. His mother played jazz piano and his father played British invasion guitar mixed with the blues. So from an early age Chris had plenty of influences to choose from. His brother gave him a fretless bass when he was 9 followed by some guitars for various birthdays from his parents including a fender Stratocaster for his 16th.
After playing in bands in high school Chris was off to Capilano University where he studied jazz.immediatly following that he hit the ground running playing professionally in live in studio situations for the next 20 years.
He then switched from live to lessons and has been teaching steadily for the last six years. Chris takes great pleasure introducing people to music, watching them develop and hearing the tangible results.
His rate is $31 per half hour.

Erland is an experienced and dedicated musician with a diploma in music from VCC. Erland has been teaching guitar and bass for over 25 years. He has an enthusiastic personality and enjoys teaching many different styles of music. Erland can also teach ukulele. As well, he runs our rock band program, showing young musicians how to play as a group. He welcomes students of any age and ability.
His rate is $32 per half hour.

Gord has been active in the musical landscape of the lower mainland since the early 80s, playing professionally with such artists as Anette Ducharme, Tony Pappa and the Buicks.
He has done many studio sessions, recording with bands such as the Headpins. Gord has taught guitar for 8 years, focusing mainly on rock guitar, with special attention to soloing and improvisational skills. He also teaches beginner bass, ukulele, and mandolin. Gord teaches all age groups for acoustic/electric guitar. Rock guitar students can range from beginner to advanced students. He especially enjoys making the experience of learning a musical instrument fun and enjoyable for the student. His rate is $31 per half hour.

Ian Moncur is a well respected guitarist in Vancouver and the founding member of the band 'One and a Half'. Ian has been teaching and successfully gigging with the band in the lower mainland for over 20 years. Specializing in classic and modern rock,is a whiz at soloing. Ian uses the tab method for his teaching. Ian strives to give each of his students the most inspiring and fun learning experience possible.
His rate is $32 per half hour.
Our Group Lessons:
Wanting to experience playing in a group under the skilled guidance of an experienced instructor? Returning this summer is our week-long Rock School run by instructor Jason Ritchie! Collaborate with other like-minded musicians to play favourite rock songs, plus with an added performance for family and friends at the end of the week.
Students are recommended to have previous experience with their instrument, or around 1-2yrs of lessons. They should be comfortable with their instrument, enough to be able to learn and perform within the week.
COST: $300 Per Student

Experience playing as part of a band building rhythm, volume control, and confidence in improv. Doing head arrangements based on the Real Book charts. All inclusive and group improvisation. Ideal for students interested in brushing up their own skills and bringing them to the next level.
Students are to have their own/rented instrument. Having a copy of the Real Book is recommended but not required. Students are also recommended to have prior experience and are comfortable with their instrument.
COST: $240 Per Student [6 sessions total]
