Amanda Quick specializes in teaching cello through a trifecta of music history, technical skill and art appreciation in the pursuit of organized sound. Amanda received her orchestral training at the Forest City School for Strings (FCSS) and the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute (SOSI) under Paul Pulford and Paul Marleyn. She currently holds a B.Mus. (Hons) from Western University, where she studied under Tom Wiebe.
Amanda’s performance experience has included collaborations with Tafelmusik members, Mark Payne’s Starbright series, and London’s Chinese Ensemble with notable erhu artist Grace Lou, as well as other events with The Grand, RBC Place London and more.
Amanda currently accepts all musical grades of all ages, including cellists looking to prep for university auditions. She continues to support a hybridized platform by merging Suzuki String School disciplines and her Cantus Academy Method with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examination curriculum for more advanced levels.
Amanda's rate is $32.00/half-hour private lesson.

COLOURFUL MUSIC - Scott McIlwraith

“What colour is music?”
The Colourful Music program invites participants to explore and understand music through a vibrant, visually driven composition process. By blending games, writing, visual art, and hands-on manipulatives with musical study, this multidisciplinary approach nurtures creativity, personal expression, and deeper musical understanding. Participants will create at least one original composition during each session.
This course is an hour long and runs in two groups alternating bi-weekly on Thursdays.
Session 1A/2A is from 4:00pm -5:00pm Alternating
Session 1B/2B is from 5:00pm -6:00pm Alternating
