A classically trained musician, Adèle M. Wilding has led a busy career as a professional vocalist, composer/songwriter, arranger and music educator for over two decades. She was the inaugural winner of the 2005 BWA Nina Simone Award in London, England, and she has performed in fine venues and major festivals in the UK and Western Canada, collaborating with the latter region's finest jazz, blues, gospel and soul artists. Recent performance highlights: the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival (2022, 2024), Jazz Vespers at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church (2022 - 2023), and the Sunday Jazz Series at the Fort Garry Hotel Club Room, presented by Jazz Winnipeg (2023). In October 2024, Adèle made her debut at the Yardbird Suite, Edmonton, AB.

Adèle is a passionate teacher who enjoys sharing her skills with aspiring musicians. She has taught in a variety of contexts and considers one-on-one instruction as her favourite teaching environment. She follows the RCM and ABRSM syllabi for Voice and coaches experienced singers independently. Highlights of Adèle's teaching career include contributing to the national UK publication "A Common Approach 2002", Adjudicator for the Saskatchewan Music Festival (2015) and launching the 'Melody & Harmony Vocal Masterclass Weekend' with esteemed Canadian jazz/blues/soul artists Darlene Cooper, Cecile Larochelle, and Bill Sample in North Burnaby (2020). In the Fall of 2023, Adèle was Guest Director for the World Village Gospel Choir, founded and directed by Rachel Landrecht and Neil Weisensel. In March 2024, she led a Songwriting Clinic for the Long and McQuade Henderson store. Adèle continues to create and offer content for lectures and workshops.

Adèle's qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts With Distinction (Carleton), Master of Arts in Music Education (University of London Institute of Education), and Diploma in Jazz and Popular Music Studies: Performance, Composition and Arranging (Goldsmiths University). Her rate is $30/half hour. Lessons are available in English, French and German.

Liam is an educator, multi-instrumentalist, and composer from Winnipeg, Manitoba. His musical life began with classical violin training at age 5, and later he was a member of the Winnipeg Youth Orchestra and began playing the double bass at age 14. Liam holds a Bachelor of Jazz Performance from the University of Manitoba where he studied with Karl Kohut. Active on the Winnipeg music scene for a decade, Liam has performed alongside artists including Tomson Highway, Will Bonness, Ron Paley, and Jon Gordon, in addition to at events such as the Winnipeg Jazz Festival and the Winnipeg Folk Festival.

Liam offers lessons in classical violin, fiddling, double bass, electric bass, theory/rudiments, and jazz improvisation. He helps students to explore music that resonates with them in a supportive, structured way and strives to provide an individual lesson experience to each student regardless of age or ability. Repertoire can include Jazz, Classical, Fiddling, Musical theatre, blues, and popular music depending on a given student’s interests. Lessons are offered in English and French. Liam teaches out of our Henderson location, and his rate is $29/half hour.

Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante has been performing for audiences on the Winnipeg live music scene for well over two decades. His skill-sets as a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and band-leader keep him busy throughout the year as a free-lance musician in many of Winnipeg’s most notable music groups. His work as a side-man includes groups such Papa Mambo, Dr. Henry Band, Trio Bembe, the Chuck Copenace group. Victor’s ability and fluidity to authentically blend his guitar skills into various genres can be attributed to his training in through his Bachelor of Jazz Degree at University of Manitoba as well as his own personal studies abroad in Cuba, Argentina & Chile. His musical DNA reflects both his Canadian and Latin-American upbringing, and spans the genres of Cuban music, Jazz, hip=Hop, R&B, Latin-American Folklore, Tango and more from all over the world. Whether leading his own groups (Meta-Clave, The Subversives), or lending his talents to various musical projects in Winnipeg and abroad, his musicianship, joy and expression shine through.

As a teacher with nearly two decades worth of music instruction taught to students of ranging from ages 6-60, Victor has developed tailored methods for teaching guitar, ukelele, bass, music theory, jazz and improvisation. By using his own insights into fretted-instrument mechanics, the Barry Harris’ approach to jazz language & harmony, as well as more traditional approaches to theory, rhythm and melodic improvisation, Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante customizes lessons for each students’ needs to get them making music! Whether a longtime hobbyist, a beginner student testing the waters, or students preparing auditions and more, Victor will get you ready to PLAY!
