Brenna Conrad (Voice, Voice)

Brenna Conrad is a professionally-trained Soprano with over 15 years of experience in Vocal Performance, Music Education and Music Ministry. A standout talent from a young age, Conrad honed her craft at University of Toronto’s prestigious vocal performance program. She has been the female soloist for the Nova Scotia Tattoo for over 16 years. She has performed in several Tattoo’s , including multiple appearances in the Hamburg- Germany, Malmo- Sweden, and Ottawa- Parliament Hill Tattoo’s. She continued to perform both in Canada and Europe before embarking on a career as a vocal instructor and music educator. Prior to moving back to Nova Scotia, she served as Choral Conductor and Youth Music Director at Islington United Church in Toronto while also teaching privately. Brenna is thrilled to be back in Nova Scotia and is currently the co- conductor for Impact!, a mixed voice youth choir with a focus on bringing awareness to social justice issues, through music, acting and dance. She currently runs a thriving private vocal studio in Truro, NS, is proud to be launching the first Stagecoach School in Truro, and has recently joined the teaching team here at Long & McQuade Truro! Brenna's rate is $28 per 1/2 hour lesson.

Danielle Richard (Voice)

Growing up in both PEI and then NB, Danielle Richard always had a love for music. From a very young age she was involved in choirs, voice lessons, and musical theatre productions, and now is the music teacher at Redcliff Middle School where she directs the school choir and musical.

Danielle has a Bachelor of Music (vocal performance) from MTA and Bachelor of Education from StFX. Danielle loves musical theatre and has performed in and directed many productions over the years. She currently performs with the Cantabile Singers and the First United Handbell Ensemble, and is on the board of directors for Truro Music Festival and Orff Nova Scotia. Danielle enjoys sharing her passion for music through teaching. Her rate is $26 per 1/2 hour lesson.

Kelsey Erskine (Voice, Trombone, Piano, Guitar)

Kelsey Erskine is an actively gigging singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and current NSCC Music Arts student. She has taken private lessons in voice for many years, and is currently studying with Brenna Conrad. She has also taken some lessons in piano and
trombone, though primarily learns by ear and feel. She has lots of ensemble experience - everything from choirs and musical theatre to jazz combos and big bands. An active musician and recording artist, Kelsey has 2 singles currently released, and a collaborative EP - LIFEBLOOD - coming in early 2026. Kelsey is a great resource for aspiring songwriters, performers, arrangers, and those interested in accompaniment. While well versed in a wide variety of genres, Kelsey’s primary areas of study have been jazz, classical, theatre, and contemporary music. She strives to be constantly learning in order to bring fresh perspective into each lesson. Her ultimate goal is to create a fun and engaging learning environment for each student where they can develop crucial skills and flourish as a musician. Kelsey’s rate is $28 per 1/2 hour lesson.

Sheena Henderson (Voice)

Sheena Henderson has been a part of the music community in Truro for most of her life. She is a graduate of the University of Ottawa (voice), Acadia (BEd and MEd), as well as St. FX where she studied Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. She has been a music educator in some capacity for over twenty years. Currently, she is a music teacher at Cobequid Educational Centre, where she also directs the Choir and musicals. She is the vocal instructor for Truro’s Stagecoach school, as well as the co-founder and leader of the inclusive ensemble True Colours: Ability Sings! Sheena has also sung with jazz, rock and country bands. She appreciates a large variety of music, and loves helping students find music that speaks to them and helps them find their own voices. Sheena’s rate is $28 per 1/2 hour lesson.
