Al is an experienced guitar teacher with an extensive background in theory, harmony, composition and arranging. Al plays and teaches pop, rock and jazz guitar and has a personal interest in fingerstyle guitar.
His rate is $25 per half hour lesson.

André Bisson (Online Lessons Available - Voice, Bass, Guitar) Registration Request

André is an Honours graduate of the Applied Music program at Mohawk College. He has a strong theory background and enjoys teaching students of all ages. He performs regularly in area bands and arranges music for big band, small ensembles and string groups.
André’s rate is $27 per half hour lesson.

Andrew Brophy (Online Lessons Available - Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) Registration Request

Andrew is a graduate of the Mohawk College Applied Music Program. Andrew teaches all styles of guitar, singing, songwriting, and specializes in classical guitar technique, as well as metal technique for both guitar and voice. He has experience preparing students for the Royal Conservatory exams, teaches all ages, and has been teaching for over 20 years.
Andrew's rate is $25 per half hour lesson.

Braden Varcoe is a graduate of the Mohawk College Applied Music program. He has been teaching guitar and theory to students of all ages and skill levels since 2013. Braden has been heavily involved with the theater community in Hamilton as well, including working in such capacities as Music Director for the original Broadway cast of Smokey Joe's Cafe at Hamilton Place. You can currently find him performing a variety of Blues and Soul music with The Braden Varcoe Band.

Daniel studied Guitar at Wilfred Laurier University, and has been teaching in the Hamilton area since the mid 1990’s. His instruction includes various styles of guitar -including fingerstyle, as well as songwriting, and some theory. He loves teaching students of all ages, and he always brings a creative and playful vibe to his lessons. A solo artist, he has been performing his guitar and vocal based ambient/pop music in the area for the last 23 years.

Ed teaches any style, with focus on musicianship, specializing in Jazz, Blues and R&B. Ed uses loop pedals and ipad apps in the lesson, offering technical instruction, and composition feedback. A veteran performer of stage and studio, Ed has won a Juno award, the Fender National Guitar Warz Competition and the Roland International Tape Competition.

Jeff is a graduate from Mohawk College with a diploma in Jazz Guitar and holds his Grade 8 certificate in RCM Piano. With over 30 years of gigging and teaching experience, appearing in acts such as Shania Twin and the Practically Hip, Jeff comes with a vast knowledge of music in many different styles and genres. Jeff is enthusiastic about sharing a passion for music with students of all ages.

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, producer, and podcaster. Michael is a graduate from the Mohawk College Music and Composition program. He is obsessed with creativity and learning. Using meta-learning principles in his music coaching, he has helped students carve their own paths to meet their unique goals whether they be starting a band, gaining the skills and confidence to share music live and online, acceptance into a prestigious post-secondary institution, or simply fostering a healthy personal creative practice.

Lakeside Wind Ensemble is a community brass and woodwind group that plays a variety of music. We accept all types of wind instruments: Flutes, Clarinets, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Alto Saxophones, Tenor Saxophones, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpets, Trombones, French Horns, Baritones, Euphoniums, and Tubas. Our regular season runs from September through June, Tuesday nights from 7pm-8:30pm

The Bumblebee Orchestra is an educational ensemble that provides instruction to string players
that are reading and playing at the Grade 2 Suzuki or RCM Level. Students must be able to read music at a beginner level. For ages 7 - 14. Current session, 2023 from 5:00-6:30.

Garden City Orchestra rehearses weekly throughout the year. We have two big concerts a year. One in December and one in June. We go out to senior homes and we take part in music festivals. Garden City Orchestra began in 2015 and we have been growing ever since. We enjoy learning and performing pieces from all the great composers from the past and present.
We invite guest musicians to our performances to make it extra special.
Students should be reading at or above a Grade 3 Suzuki or RCM Level. Rehearsals are Thursday nights from 7-9 PM
