Abraham teaches the piano in a fun and engaging manner. He has helped students pass their graded piano exams with brilliant results. Having been teaching piano for over fifteen years, he has the ability to help beginners navigate through the technical challenges of piano playing. Building vast musicianship and guiding the student on effective practice methods is a vital part of his teaching. In addition to private instruction, Abraham is also a choir director at his church. His private lesson rate is $28/half hour.

Soprano Christine Brandt was born in Kitchener, Ontario. She played the piano for 12 years before she began her studies in vocal performance at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON. While there she sang with the Maureen Forrester women's choir where she had numerous opportunities for solo work. She received her Bachelor of Music in 2016 with a minor in psychology. Christine enjoys sharing her passion for music with others through teaching piano and voice lessons. She has worked with younger children to spark their interest in music through a music starters program. She has also worked with children's choirs in her hometown of Kitchener. Christine is currently working towards her master's degree at Mannes school of music in New York City. Christine is here on Fridays and her private lesson rate is $28 per half-hour lesson.

As a high-school music teacher for 8 years at the Juana Escobar School in Bogota, Colombia, Edwin’s confidence and drive is sure to keep any student on track and playing beats by the end of the first lesson. Equipped with a Bachelor’s degree in Music from The National Pedagogical University of Colombia, Edwin and his family made the move to Canada in 2013. Though quiet and collected, Edwin began expanding his musicality in the region and began playing with several Colombian folklore bands. He is the principal drummer at Calvary Assembly in Cambridge, and has participated in recordings and musical arrangements of Christian worship projects. He is currently the drummer and music director of Canadian Country artist Jeff Catto’s band. Edwin's private lesson rate is $28/half hour

With over 18 years of piano experience under his belt, Elliot is a seasoned pianist dedicated to sharing the joy of music with eager learners of all ages. Trained in classical music through the RCM curriculum, Elliot’s teaching approach brings technicality, finesse, and fun to each lesson while incorporating musical theory into the mix. While rooted in classical tradition, he also offers insights into Arabic music for those seeking a more diverse musical experience. He loves performing and has been a part of numerous musical groups, covering a wide spread of various repertoires such as rock, pop, jazz, and Arabic music. As an encore to his long teaching days, Jeremy plays in a number of local bands in the rock, pop and blues genres. He has a penchant for creating original material for metal bands and his instrumental rock and roll project. Jeremy charges $28.00 per half-hour lesson.

Mike is an experienced jazz, rock and blues guitarist of over 15 years . Growing up in Guelph, he started his guitar journey immersed in rock and blues (like most guitarists). He then went on to develop an interest in jazz fusion and improvisation during his time studying at Humber College. He is comfortable teaching several styles and techniques as well as theory, improvisation and ear training. Mike's rate is $28.00/half-hour.
olivia borkosky (Ukulele)

Olivia has been performing with and playing the ukulele for the better part of 8 years, and is well known for fronting her award winning indie band, Olivia and the Creepy Crawlies. Music has always been a part of her life, from taking RCM vocal lessons for 10 years, to writing her own material, to graduating from Fanshawe's Music Industry Arts program, and assisting in running a 2-year long ukulele program at Victory Public School. Her enthusiasm, passion for teaching and inspiring students of all levels is contagious. Olivia's rate is $28.00/half-hour private lesson.
rachael derbyshire (Violin)

Rachael is a classically trained violinist with over 25 years of experience who has played in various musical groups including symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and bluegrass bands. She has both training and teaching experience in classical violin and fiddle, and can offer beginner to intermediate level lessons to students of all ages. Rachael strives to offer a curriculum that can be modified to suit each student’s needs. Her rate is $30 per half hour lesson.

Richard has had a substantial career throughout North America, Europe, Mexico, Australia, and Asia. He maintains an active freelance performance and education career and within his community and beyond, he has played with numerous orchestras including the Toronto Symphony and Buffalo Philharmonic, is a founding member of TorQ Percussion Quartet and is the artistic director for Open Ears Festival of Music and Sound. His discography includes multiple albums with TorQ, and listen… with Stealth. Richard is an artist for Yamaha Canada Music, Innovative Percussion, Black Swamp Percussion, Remo Percussion and Dream Cymbals and Gongs. His private lesson rate is $28.00/half hour.
