Jesse graduated from the Red Deer College music program in 2011 with a major in Electric Guitar. He also pursued specializations at the College in: Composition, Recording/Engineering, and Classical Guitar.

Josh Rickard (Composition, Guitar, Theory, Songwriting)

Josh Rickard is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music educator with over 30 years of experience in both performance and instruction. He writes music for film, television, and a variety of solo and collaborative projects, and currently performs with The Boss Novas—a contemporary surf instrumental band—as well as the Josh Rickard Trio, which showcases his distinctive jazz style. Based at our Red Deer location, Josh offers lessons for guitar students at all levels, covering a wide range of genres including Rock, Classic/Surf Rock, Punk/Pop Punk, Blues, Jazz, Acoustic Singer-Songwriter, Christian Contemporary, Country, Bluegrass, Fingerstyle, and more. In addition to guitar, he teaches Songwriting, Chanter/Bagpipes, Music Theory, Music Production, Composition, Jazz Theory, and Arrangement. Josh offers a variety of different lessons at our Red Deer location.
His rate is $32 per half hour lesson.

Kji Rumohr (Bass Guitar, Drums, Guitar)

With 30 years of performing and recording experience, Kji has transmitted his passion for music into teaching. Developing a strong and positive bond with each family and student over his more than 18 years of private music lessons has been a blessing. Many students have moved on to their own professional recording and performing careers. As a music teacher who focuses on Drums, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar and Electric Guitar, it is Kji's gift to help each individual student let their light shine through music.

Michael Farney (Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar)

Michael, or "Diggs" as he's fondly known, brings a lifetime of musical experience as both a performer and educator. With years of experience in solo and band performances, his expertise spans across Acoustic and Electric Guitar, to Ukulele, Mandolin, and Songwriting. He is dedicated to getting you or your child playing songs on any instrument of choice in the shortest time possible. His teaching philosophy is simple: “If we’re not having fun, we’re not doing it right.” In addition to his performance experience, Michael has developed youth programs for various organizations. His engaging and motivational teaching style inspires learners of all ages to quickly grasp new skills and develop a genuine passion for their musical journey. Whether you’re interested in Rock, Blues, Pop, Country, or any specific genre, Michael (Diggs) is an excellent choice as a musical mentor.

Shane Holder (Guitar)

Shane Holder has always had a passion for music! He enjoys all genres of music. He started learning acoustic guitar back in 2006 and has not put the guitar down since! Shane was a worship leader when he attended Unity Baptist church. He is currently attending Crossroads church and is an active member on the worship team there playing rhythm guitar with a variety of other musicians. Shane is also currently an elementary school music teacher here in Red Deer and teaches grades 1-5 music. He graduated from the University of Alberta back in 2004 with a Bachelor of Education degree and took a variety of music courses. Shane has taught in elementary schools for 20 years and comes with many different teaching strategies to help students of all ages and abilities to be successful. He understands the importance of creating engaging lessons and making learning guitar fun! Fun fact about Shane is he also worked for Westjet, Canada 3000 and Canadian North Airlines. He loves to travel and see the world! Shane finds teaching a very rewarding job and loves to share his passion of playing guitar with others and seeing them grow musically.

Trenton Fawcett is a multi-talented professional musician. Graduated with a diploma of Contemporary Music and Technology majoring in Composition at Selkirk College. Recorded and released eight studio albums varying in genres such as Rock, Psychedelic, Indie, Singer/Songwriter and New Age. Trenton has played in many bands and performed multiple shows in Alberta throughout his career. He has several years of professional music teaching experience and is able to work with all ages and loves making lessons enjoyable and fun for anyone wanting to learn music!
