Aidan is a local multi-instrumentalist with a passion for playing, creating and teaching music. A graduate of Fanshawe College’s Music Industry Arts, and Audio Post Production programs, he has also studied piano, guitar, electric/upright bass, voice and music theory. Having performed with bands, orchestras, and theatre companies, Aidan has a love for many genres including rock, jazz, funk, soul, and classical. His passion for music also extends into the technological side, with professional experience in music production and audio engineering. As a teacher, Aidan aims to provide students with a well-rounded musical education, with an emphasis on fostering enthusiasm and having fun.

Alex is a talented saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist with 20 years of playing experience. He is currently pursuing a music degree through Berklee College of Music. Alex is a thorough and patient teacher with 8 years experience teaching privately at local studios and with the Holy Spirit Marching Band. Alex emphasizes musicality, each lesson building on the previous ones, and of course, having fun. Alex is well-versed in many styles of music including, but not limited to, rock, funk, jazz, and classical. When not teaching, studying or recording, you can catch Alex gigging across Ontario with his band, Fun Fact. In addition, Alex is an official artist for Spector Basses.

Growing up in a family of musicians, including the Juno Award winning Canadian country trio The Mercey Brothers, Mike has dedicated his life to the art of music. He attended Humber College for percussion and is currently studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Previously, he was the songwriter, lead guitarist and singer in The Sourkeys, who were featured on CBC Radio and toured North America. Mike teaches guitar, bass, and ukulele and is well versed in production, mixing and engineering. Mike is a very creative and patient instructor with 15 years of experience in music instruction. He teaches all abilities and styles of music!

Oscar Abley (Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar, Saxophone, Songwriting, Theory)

Oscar Abley is a multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, and music educator from London, Ontario. They play saxophone and guitar in ensembles throughout London, and are a frequent attendee of the various weekly jams at the Poachers Arms. As a performer, Oscar is known for their enthusiastic stage presence/direction and rhythmic playing. As a teenager and young adult, Oscar spent many summers playing guitar, bass, and ukulele at summer camps, in schools, and privately. They studied classical saxophone and mathematics at the University of Ottawa before moving to the MIA program at Fanshawe College, graduating in 2023 and receiving the Instrumentalist of the Year and EMAC Band Of The Year awards.

As a teacher, Oscar is known for their personable and modern takes on incorporating music into everyday life. They emphasize the importance and intrinsic reward of learning how to make music that expresses one’s personal voice. Oscar runs a diverse and accepting studio, especially concerning LGBTQIA+ students.

Scott is a well rounded musician, songwriter and recording engineer with a wealth of touring, writing and studio experience from the last 15 years. His broad range of inspiration has helped him to create a sound that is unique yet easily identified and familiar, and brings a fresh perspective to his teaching. Scott creates a relaxed teaching environment and meets the passions of his students equally. He tailors his lessons to his students' individual goals and musical interests so that they can find new ways to explore the music they love.
