Shakoor is a violinist from Kingston who began studying violin at the age of six under the instruction of Denny Williams and Deborah McFarlane, at the Canta Arya School for Strings. He studied the Suzuki Method within private/group classes and with The Southern Ontario Suzuki Institute. Shakoor was Principal Second violin of Orchestra Kingston, and a second violin substitute at the Kingston Symphony Orchestra. He's completed a Bachelor of Music and holds a Chamber Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he studied with Jerzy Kaplanek and Jeremy Bell. Shakoor's rate is $28.00 per half-hour lesson.
