Brad Evanochko (Guitar, Bass, Rock Skool) Registration Request

Brad teaches a wide variety of musical styles on the guitar and bass including pop, rock, jazz, blues, and country. Brad has been teaching acoustic and electric guitar and bass since the mid 90's to all ages and abilities. Brad’s strengths include musical theory and technique, melodic improvisation and progressions, composition and ear training. He is involved with local band Sonic Orchid, has recorded and released albums, and performed at many venues throughout Western Canada including the annual summer festival Craven Rock Weekend. He also actively performs in local cover band Dangerous Cheese and 90’s rock band Whatever. Brad is also the coach and instructor for Long and McQuade's very popular Rock Skool program. Brad offers guitar and bass lessons at the Regina location.
His rate is $27 per half hour.

Burns James Holland (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) Registration Request

Burns has been playing guitar and bass since the early 90's and has been teaching since 2005. He has had extensive training in a wide variety of musical genres including jazz, blues, folk, and metal. Burns has received his advanced theory certificate with the Royal Conservatory of Music and is continuing his studies of advanced harmony. He has performed with many groups over the past 20 years including a church worship group, and his latest project The Android Jackie O. Burns teaches guitar, bass and ukulele at the Regina store. His rate is $26 per half-hour.

Dan Silljer (Guitar, Bass) Registration Request

Dan is an accomplished musician who has shared the stage with an impressive array of talents in a wide variety of styles. Dan has toured with Virgin/Atlantic recording artist & Juno award winner Serena Ryder and Warner Brothers Six Shooter, and Juno award winning artist Jason Plumb formerly of the Waltons. He has also shared the stage with artists around the world including; John Blackwell (drummer for Prince) Greg Boyer (Trombone for Prince and Parliament Funkadelic) Jeff Healey, Bazil Donovan and Glen Milchem (Blue Rodeo),and Kevin Hearns (Barenaked Ladies). Dan brings a wealth of experience and musical knowledge to his students. Well trained in Theory (studied under Much Music Guitar wars winner Jack Semple for two years) Dan can teach a variety of musical styles and theory. Dan teaches guitar and bass at the Regina store. His rate is $28 per half-hour.

Dennon Jonasson (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) Registration Request

Dennon has been playing guitar and honing in on his technique since the age of seven. He is always advancing his own knowledge and discovering new ways to play the strings and new ways to teach them. He has played in several local bands throughout the city, and is currently working on a solo guitar rock project. Dennon can offer both his guitar and bass students a wide range of material including basic chord progressions and scale positions and advanced virtuoso-esque styles. Whether its country, rock, metal, blues, funk, pop, or punk, he is eager to bring knowledge to anyone willing to have fun and learn! Dennon teaches guitar, bass and ukulele at the Regina store. His rate is $25 per half-hour.

Johnny Javier (Guitar, Composition) Registration Request

Johnny is a versatile musician with years of experience performing and teaching music. He graduated from Edmonton's MacEwan University with a Diploma in Music, majoring in Composition. During his studies, he worked on skills such as sight-reading, ear-training, theory, composition and performance. He has performed in music festivals, cafes and corporate events as part of a group and as a solo performer.
Besides music, his other passion in life is travelling. During his two years of travelling Australia, he taught music and performed with musicians from different countries and cultures. His fondest memory from his time down under was busking on the city streets and performing in open mic nights with his travel mates.
Johnny is eager to share his knowledge and experiences to all his students, regardless of age or skill level. He aims to show how learning music can enrich a person's life. Johnny is currently offering only online video lessons for the Regina store. His rate is $25 per half-hour.

Josh Daly (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) Registration Request

Josh has been playing guitar since the age of 7. He has included a wide variety of styles in his guitar playing including rock, pop, jazz, blues, country and melodic rock. Josh's teaching methods include focusing on playing techniques, theory, melodic improvisation, ear training and composition. He also plays and gigs with local Regina bands Hearts and Knives, FrontedTears and Degree Of Being. Josh teaches guitar, bass and ukulele at the Regina store. His rate is $25 per half-hour.

Matt Kaip (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) Registration Request

Matt started playing the guitar at a very young age and has never looked back. Through many years of lessons from a number of different instructors, Matt has developed his skills in a variety of genres including: jazz, rock, classical, funk, and reggae to name a few.
At the age of 17, Matt began developing his recording skills, and experienced his first tour. Through his university years, where he obtained his BA/Psci, Matt continued to remain actively involved in music where he joined the University of Regina jazz band and learned more about jazz, improvisation, and arranging. Following this, Matt founded the band The Nancy Ray-Guns, and they released two well received albums: All Those Years of Heart and Homestead. Matt then continued to develop his skills and took occasional lessons from Capilano Jazz College teacher Bill Coon. Also during this time, he began composing and designing audio for mobile games, including making music and sounds for 17 games with Vancouver and Ottawa based Magmic Games. Currently, Matt plays guitar for Robot Hive and has been focusing on his own album Moon Reflected in Water.
Matt has been teaching a wide variety of musical styles for over 30 years and is happy to be returning to Long and McQuade. Matt teaches guitar, bass and ukulele at the Regina location. His rate is $27 per half hour.

Matt Lekivetz has been playing guitar and bass for over 15 years, and ukulele for over 10. Teaching is a passion of Matt’s, as he enjoys the art of it, and sharing his love of music. Since he is trained and studied several aspects of music, his lessons involve a mixture of all styles. The students’ personal inspiration and goals will determine the lesson path they will take to have fun playing the music they enjoy. Matt teaches guitar, bass and ukulele at the Regina store. Matthew Nadon is an experienced guitar and bass player. He was a student with Long & McQuade for many years and continues to expand his knowledge through the tutelage of Ken Burton. Matthew has been a sought after substitute with Long & McQuade and is excited to be joining our team! Matthew enjoys playing live and is currently involved in the bands Zayd, Behind the Days, & Savannah's Freedom. He is looking forward to recording with these bands in the near future.
