Colin R. Wrubleski began violin lessons shortly before his 8th birthday. He has a Bachelor of Music (Performance major) degree, awarded "With Great Distinction", studying both violin and later viola with Dr. Howard Leyton-Brown.

Colin has worked in a combined position as a principal player for the North Bay Symphony Orchestra / Northern Sinfonia and violin teacher for the North Bay Symphony School.
Thereafter, he participated as a member of the Orchestral Training Program at the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto (RCMT), studying with Orford String Quartet founder, Andrew Dawes. One-year positions followed in the orchestras of Windsor and Thunder Bay.

In 1993, Colin returned to the RCMT and concurrently the University of Toronto, taking up the viola full-time while continuing as a violin minor, and performing in a variety of conservatory and university ensembles. He worked as an upper-strings teacher for Sarasas Ektra School; duties there included private, group, and classroom, as well as ensemble and orchestra coaching.

In 2010, he became the Principal Violist of the TPO, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, concurrently while maintaining his teaching position for Sarasas Ektra, but in 2011 he instead taught for the MCGP (Music Campus for the General Public) program affiliated with the College of Music, Mahidol University. The MCGP students, mostly but not exclusively on violin, included students of diverse levels and abilities, from young beginners to adults to advanced students preparing for university. During his years in the TPO, the orchestra toured Japan, New Zealand, Laos (twice), and Myanmar, performing for noted dissident Aung Sung Suu Chi.

Other musical activities in his years in Bangkok included performances as a violist with the Lermontov String Quartet, and two full-length violin-and-viola duo recitals at the British Club in Bangkok with Australian virtuoso violinist Jonathon Glonek.

Colin teaches violin and viola at the Regina store. His rate is $27 per half hour.
