Matt Kaip - Guitar, Bass, Ukulele music lessons in Regina

Matt Kaip (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) Registration Request
Online Lessons: Yes

Matt started playing the guitar at a very young age and has never looked back.  Through many years of lessons from a number of different instructors, Matt has developed his skills in a variety of genres including: jazz, rock, classical, funk, and reggae to name a few.

At the age of 17, Matt began developing his recording skills, and experienced his first tour. Through his university years, where he obtained his BA/Psci, Matt continued to remain actively involved in music where he joined the University of Regina jazz band and learned more about jazz, improvisation, and arranging. Following this, Matt founded the band The Nancy Ray-Guns, and they released two well received albums: All Those Years of Heart and Homestead.  Matt then continued to develop his skills and took occasional lessons from Capilano Jazz College teacher Bill Coon. Also during this time, he began composing and designing audio for mobile games, including making music and sounds for 17 games with Vancouver and Ottawa based Magmic Games.  Currently, Matt plays guitar for Robot Hive and has been focusing on his own album Moon Reflected in Water.

Matt has been teaching a wide variety of musical styles for over 30 years and is happy to be returning to Long and McQuade. Matt teaches guitar, bass and ukulele at the Regina location. His rate is $27 per half hour.
