I read the one review and laughed pretty hard, lets face it, if you cargoed your gear instead of carry on it was your own stupidity. Granted they are rough, hence why they are usually called baggage tossers. If you are flying, carry on, or have the promoter supply one as per your requirements at booking, as set out in a rider. Elementary.
As far as using this case to carry it around, put in the van or what have you, it's solid. The only thing I have heard MANY times, is watch that laptop lid, the stop-catch has supposedly (and I don't doubt it) failed, resulting in the laptop stand sliding off the case WHAM! Laptop ala' floor.
I wouldn't know, I use a laptop stand that bolts to the flight case, since I already had it.
