I love my HD Pro X. I also have the Shortboard MkII to control the unit. I'm very happy with the amp models and effects. The only issue is that it doesn't take long to run out of DSP power (you'll get an error from the unit) especially when running a dual amp patch. For power users who have the kind of money to drop on this unit, you may want to consider an Axe FX, Kemper, or the newer Line 6 Helix. But if this is about the limit of your price range, you will likely learn to live within the (reasonable) constraints of the system. And frankly, the sound quality for the amp models is great to most ears. It's like looking at a nice TV in the store next to a top-of-the-line TV. Sure, there are differences, but once you get your nice TV home you no longer watch it beside the top-of-the-line unit. And without that direct comparison your nice TV suddenly seems like a great TV. The Pod HD Pro X is a nice TV. Well priced and it sounds great.
