Adjustable strings and an extra thick wooden sound port for bass compression gives the Minera Line a wide dynamic range of highs and lows. Two sets of four micro-coiled metal cajon strings give a snapping snare effect and are adjustable with the included tuning key. These strings are hand-wound in the style of master cajon builder, Jose "Pepote" Hernandez Diaz, and respond with the upmost sensitivity.

This cajon is a well-made and warm-sounding cajon with good sound definition between the snare and bass areas of the drum. The snare wires aren't adjustable, but they seem to be well placed and crisp sounding without being overpowering. It's nice to have the rounded edges for hand comfort.
