As a companion to his best-selling Handel's Christmas Messiah: A Cantata the Easter portions of Handel's classic Messiah have been carefully and tastefully edited by the "master of accessible masterworks" Hal H. Hopson. For the first time with this edition, medium to smaller choirs can now perform these gems, while larger choirs accustomed to performing the full version of the work will find this edition invaluable as being easily prepared and presented. In addition to the choral and solo inclusions, a Sinfonia prelude is adapted from the chorus Worthy Is the Lamb. The optional chamber orchestration offers flexible "mix and match" instrumentation, so that the work can be enhanced with as many or few instruments at your disposal.
