I just bought this headphones and love them. I use them with my DAW for home recording and mixing. I was using expensive Beats by Dr. Dre PRO headphones that cost $439.95 + taxes at Long and Mcquade. These headphones provide a more clean sound and more definition in the low and mid range. I immediately tested them on a track I was working on and could hear troublesome frequencies in my recording that the Beats headphones masked. I was able to quickly EQ the track to remove those frequencies. They are much lighter than the Beats Pros because there is a lot more plastic in them. I bought these at L & M for $189.00 and received a $25 L & M gift card (SWEET)! The headphones also came with 3 different cables. I love these headphones and I am glad I bought them. Great studio monitor headphones for a great price. And finally, I now have a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre Pro headphones for sale.

I've been using these for about half a year now and let me tell you that because of these, I can never casually listen to music again wearing earbuds. The difference in sound quality is uncanny compared to anything else that I've tried. For example, I've tried the Bose AE2 headphones for a few weeks more for comfort, however I had always felt that sound quality was just lacking in crispness and clearness, and the sound was not FULL, rather dissonant. I mention this because these headphones surpass the sound quality on every level of those. Full sound, non-booming bass, and the perfect balance of frequencies. They are ridiculously comfortable and the around-ear feeling blocks a lot of outside noise out when listening to music, so you could say that they imitate noise-cancelling headphones. The white colour is gorgeous and does not cause the phones to get as dirty as you think they would. The cord is also very strong and durable. I would not like to say that these are meant for wearing outside, for example, walking, running, as they are big and heavy duty, but if you're one of those people who walks around all day with big headphones on, then go for it. These look awesome. The ONLY PROBLEM with these was when I first got them. There is a great deal of squeaking from the hinges when you turn your head even slightly, eat, or walk around with them (every step you take causes a squeak or noise), however, after AVID USE of them, it went away, or at least I think it did, because I do not notice it anymore. So if you happen to get annoyed by your headphones making noise, I would advise that you get a different model of Audio Technica headphones, because it will drive you insane with frustration. But the sound is what really counts, and the comfort, and I must say that these are more than excellent for listening to my classical, rock, and jazz music. I am very impressed with the quality that Audio Technica puts into their products, and after extensive use of these phones, I must say that I am very satisfied with the purchase. One thing that I'd fix is the creaking in the headphones, I'm not sure how. Perhaps it was only the model that I have, because I first tried these in the black version and I never heard any creaking.

I bought these for my Roland drums and when I first plugged them in I nearly fell over! The bass and clarity are unmatched by any headphone I've ever owned. I'm totally impressed and happy I didn't buy a lesser headphone. Absolutely worth every penny.

Absolutely amazing headphones, seemed (to my ears) to have way more Bass than any of the KRK headphones or the Sennheiser 280s. Would definitely recommend to anyone, as for 280 I bet these are a steal compared to some of the 300-400 dollar ones. My only thing at first was the pressure on my jaw from the lower part of the padding, which I eventually got used to and as I broke them in, they became slightly less tight.

I've had excellent success mixing projects with these headphones. The closed ear Design keeps ambient noise out, and the low frequency response is bang on. Seems to get down to 30hz with precision. I'm able to wear these for hours at a time without getting ear fatigue. Highly recommended.
