These strings (and the higher gauge .014 - .055) are perfect for a hollow body jazz guitar if you are seeking a traditional sound and feel. If you are looking for a more modern approach - bending strings, using effects etc. - look elsewhere. If you are emulating Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, and of course George Benson - you need strings like these and a hollow body jazz guitar. Thick and rich, a magical sound that blends perfectly with a double bass and a jazz drum kit. Really nicely balanced, intonation is good. Expensive, but they last forever.
