The SE Zach Myers has enough features to satisfy even the most demanding musicians. The resonance of the semi-hollow body paired with the smooth feel of the satin finish neck will make an immediate impression in your hands.
"Ive been with PRS for 12 years. This is the best guitar I have ever played," Zach Myers, Shinedown
Zach Myers, lead guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown, picked up a PRS Custom 22 at the age of fifteen and announced his first SE signature model in 2010. As a guitarist who has rocked PRS on the stage and teched for several PRS bands, Myers has an intimate understanding of how a guitar should feel and what the build quality should be.
The 2017 SE Zach Myers features a chambered mahogany body with maple cap, flame maple veneer and single f-hole that provides smooth mid-range tones with a natural, resonant internal reverb. The 22-fret 24.5 scale length wide fat neck boasts a satin finish that gives the guitar a very comfortable, woody, worn-in feel. Additional appointments to the SE Zach Myers signature model include PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, vintage style tuners, and PRS SE 245 pickups paired with two volume and two tone controls and a 3-way toggle pickup switch.

Sounds better, looks better, plays better than the $3200 Gibson Les Paul I got rid of. PRS is making some of the best guitars on the market in the SE line. The quality control is the same as Core models.

I own one and love it. The neck is perfectly finished, satin and smooth and quite thick by PRS standards. It feel like a Les Paul. The bridge is stolen right off the core line and the guitar has a nice warmth with really good clarity of notes.

This SE is absolutely stunning and quite frankly, flawless. The inlays are incredibly beautiful. That Trampas Green is very cool. I'm also loving the weight (lack thereof). The action is wonderful and it's a dream to play. I have a Gibson LP Standard, a Strat and a Taylor acoustic so I would consider myself a bit of picky customer. I bought this PRS because I wanted to leave a 'less expensive' guitar at the cottage during the summer months so I wouldn't have to be lugging a guitar each trip. Well, so much for that planning - I don't think leaving this one up there is an option as all I want to do is play it! Great looks. Great sound. Incredible value. I couldn't be happier! If you're thinking of buying this PRS, pull the trigger. It's everything you think and hope it will be. As per usual, the folks at L&M made this purchase very easy and enjoyable. No wonder a sizable chunk of my 'fun money' wanders their way!

this guitar is addictive to play. had this for a couple of months now and can't seem to walk by it without picking it up and playing it. i recently did a setup on it and it plays like a dream. neck is thick but very comfortable. satin rubbed finish makes it very fast. quality is top notch. i have an american custom 24 and don't see much of a difference. only thing i would change about guitar is have coil taps. you can't do it with these pickups because they are not 4 conductor. would have to replace pickups and pots. for now it will stay as is because it does sound awesome and has a huge sound being a semi hollow.

I've owned this guitar for nearly a year now, and it is a spectacular guitar. The pickups sound very nice, and the neck was perfect. There was not a single fret that wasn't levelled or filed to a smooth edge. The overall tone is very warm, however I've been able to play a variety of genres with it. In terms of what you're getting for your money, it cannot be overstated how good a deal this is. The bridge alone, if bought separately from PRS, would cost you over a third of the overall price of the guitar. According to Myers, this was an important component for him, and he pushed to have it on his signature model. The tuners aren't locking, however if you string it up properly, that's not really a concern. The only real concern is finding one whose cap matches, as that is a problem with this model. I don't know if it's because they had to cut costs somewhere to make up for the truly outstanding electronics and neck, so you won't always find one with matching bookends. I lucked out. Highly recommended guitar.

I've been looking for a better quality semi-hollow electric for a while now. Tried the usual Fender, Gretsch, Squire, Gibson and the like. All I can say is that "this is the one". If you want a bit different sound, top quality, easy playability and great looks; at a mid-range price; try this one. Sounds great through a solid state amp (Marshall) and absolutely wonderful through a tube amp. Wish I'd tried this one first.....except now I know for sure this one is nicer in all ways.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
