Drum Tuning 101 with Nelson Toews
We will demystify the drum head selection process by explaining the differences between clear and coated heads, and 1-ply and 2-ply heads. We will demonstrate different tuning and muffling techniques for snare drums, toms and bass drums.

DJ Basics and Intro to Traktor with DJ Marinko Jareb
During this workshop, Marinko will discuss:
• Selecting the right setup
• Using digital tables, mixers and speakers
• The basics of Traktor software and controllers
• A short intro to mixing
Marinko has been DJing for over 20 years, and has adapted his skills from vinyl records and turntables to the digital realm, as well as into video mixing. He started Turntablist Tutorial to demystify the art of DJing, and this tutorial has been presented by NAC, Brock University, Niagara College and more. Known for his vast knowledge of music and spot-on mixing techniques, Marinko has performed internationally.
