Jazz Workshop with Ernie Watts - Toronto, ON

One of jazz history’s greatest saxophonists will appear with a trio in our clinic hall. Ernie will be playing, discussing his historic career from his beginnings at Berklee College, his years touring the world with Buddy Rich, his studio work with the likes of Marvin Gaye, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, and all the Motown artists – while spending twenty years in Johnny Carson’s band. He is still recording and playing, as evidenced by his current CD release, Wheels of Time.

Mr Watts will be discussing improvisation, elements of playing jazz and adapting to changing music styles. He will also be performing in a trio format.
