Join Long & McQuade and Conservatory Canada's Executive Director, Derek Oger, for an information session on Conservatory Canada's new Classical and Contemporary Idioms Piano and Vocal Syllabi!

Derek will also discuss using the American Popular Piano Etudes Series as a manual for improvisation, for use with the new Contemporary Idioms Piano syllabus.

Trends in modern studio teaching will also be discussed, with strategies being shared so that classical teachers can capitalize on their skill to stay relevant.

In addition to teaching studio piano privately in Thunder Bay, ON as well as at Lakehead University, Derek Oger is the Executive Director of Conservatory Canada where he works with studio teachers across Canada to re-envision music examinations and connect the Conservatory to the community at large.
